Università degli Studi di Genova DAD organises Spaces of Tourism, an international workshop within Ulysseus BIP Programme. The workshop will focus on the area of Sestri Levante and will take place there and in Genoa, Italy. In 2022 Sestri Levante had a population of around 17,000 inhabitants and welcomed 465,000 overnight stays,making tourism increasingly impacting on the city and landscape. The workshop aims to develop a reflection on the theme of travel, the relationship between tourism and the city and its economic, spatial and meaning implications.
